Hello KMLA,
I don't know if my blog still can be seen but I just thought of when I was there and decided to write a small post. I really miss KMLA and I'm deciding right now if I should go back again or not and I think I should. I really miss my friends and my teachers. If I have to choose a favorite subject, it would be debate. I miss Kyle and Mr. Baumgartener (I think that's how you spell his name.) , my debate teacher and PA. I think Kyle's off at university. So that's all I got to say, so until the next time i feel like writing a post.

Movie Review
Movie: The Wizard of Oz
This classic movie, based on the book by L. Frank Baum was made in 1939, and was the first color movie to be made in America. The movie is about a girl named Dorthy and her loving dog and how they get blown away to the land of Oz in a twister.
In the process Dorthy's house lands on the wicked witch of the east and so Dorthy now owns the powerful ruby slippers The are the house had fallen in was the Munchkin Land. All of the Munchkins help her, as well as the good witch of the south, to go home. They all tell her to follow the yellow brick road so that she can meet the Wizard of Oz because he could help her. On the way the dead witch's sister, the wicked witch of the west goes after Dorthy so that she can have the ruby slippers, but all her plans seem to fail. During the journey Dorthy meets a brainless scarecrow, a heartless tin-man and a cowardly lion. all four of the follow the yellow brick road to see the Wizard of Oz so they can get what they desire. When they meet the wizard he commands them to bring the wicked witch of the west's broomstick, Dorthy gathers her courage and melts the witch and gets her new friends what they all desired but for her the wizard just happened to be from the same place as her (Kansas). He was going to take her home because it turned out the so called "wizard" was just an ordinary man so that's why he was going to take her home in a hot air balloon. But, the balloon set off without her so she thought she could never get home. Just then the good witch of the south came and told her all she had to do to go home was click her heels and think "there's no place like home" and there she was, home.
I personally like this movie because it's the most meaningful movie I've ever seen. Most movies have one lesson or moral but this movie had many many lesson for instance have courage or faith in yourself. I mean this like when Dorthy melted the wicked witch she had to have courage.
The main lesson that I think was, was to try hard at everything like Dorthy she tried hard to go home and to help her friends. Two leadership lessons were to be brave and never give up like when Dorthy faced hardships to go home she was being brave and didn't give up.

Goals
Hi, Yuna Here AGAIN. My first goal is to enjoy being at GLPS camp. To do that I need to enjoy learning and be strong at heart as in having a positive attitude and making new friends an so on. I'm trying to fulfill this goal because the first week I was a little nervous and homesick. What I want is to do is make the best out of everything.
My second goal is to improve on debating or to at least start learning and understanding the concept of it. What I need to do to improve is to speak more fluently and try to keep the time limit of 8 to 9 minutes. So I need to learn how to talk fast while talking smoothly and to keep away from minor details.
Last but not least, my third goal is to try and improve in history because like I said in my introduction history is my worst subject so I want to improve in it. I have to try to find enough information until the deadline so I can present properly. I also need to speak louder and try not to stutter because I'm not much of a public speaker. Which briefly means I have to get rid of stage fright.
I really hope (even if I might leave early) to finish GLPS successfully.

Self introduction
Hello, my name is Yuna Lee. I was born in Seoul but I moved to Beijing, China when I was 22 months old. My favorite subject is art and my worst subjects are P.E and history. I've been playing the violin for 3 years now and I have played the oboe and cello for 1 year. My current hobby is to play the ukulele, doodle and daydream. I am an animal lover and my favorite animal is a dog. Sometimes when I study I get really tired so I like to eat sweet things to keep me awake. My favorite books are the Harry Potter series and A Wrinkle in Time. My favorite movies are the Harry Potter series and the Chronicles of Narnia. I really look forward to making to friends and learning new subjects. It's actually my first time at an overnight camp that goes on for more than a week, so I still get nervous and homesickness sometimes. Also I'm not used to studying and waking up at 7 in the morning during vacation so I'm a little stressed out, but still there are more pro's than con's for being at this camp like improving in leadership and other subject, and making new friends.
